Each channel is configured as a standard Form A (SPST) relay and switches voltages up to ±55 VDC or AC waveforms with peaks less than. Using a digital I/O device makes it possible to monitor (read) the statuses of measuring devices as well as the relays and operation switches of various types of control. What I have come up with so far is the uln2803 which gives you the an inverter plus a darlington pair to amplify the current. The uln2803 also contains a shunting diode to handle the onrush of current you get when a relay coil loses power.
