The project will span approximately 4,500 kilometers of optical fibers, connecting the main Syrian cities (Damascus and Aleppo) with switching centers in Palmyra, and in the eastern and southern regions, in addition to a landing point for submarine cables in Tartus. The BARQ NET FTTP initiative represents Syria's comprehensive fiber-to-the-premises infrastructure deployment across all 14 governorates: Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Latakia, Hama, Tartus, Deir ez-Zor, Ar-Raqqah, Al-Hasakah, Daraa, Idlib, As-Suwayda, Quneitra, and Rif Dimashq.
